I finished my Red scarf Project contribution. It came out pretty well for just throwing something together. I did ten rows of stockinette and then a drop stitch and felted when it was done. there's more pictures and info about it on my blog. I'll be going to the post office on Monday to ship it. Need to write up a little note to put with it though first. Anybody else doin some more?
PrayerKnits is a christian group that knits items(anything from a shawl or blanket to a hat or teddy bear) for those going through a tough time and prays for the people involved while they are knitting. There is no commitment when you join. Anyone can be a part no matter where they're located or what denomination they are. The blog portion of this page is made up of entries about different experiences through the PrayerKnits experience. If you would like to join the group and contribute to helping people through a tough time and to the blog just send an email to the linked address with the url of your own blog and your email address(if you don't have a blog then just your email address) and your name in it (doesn't have to be your full or real name). Each knitter is responsible for finding people to knit for (don't worry God will bring them to your attention. You can try asking churches if there's anyone in need, or maybe just knitting hats and blankets for babies in your local hospitals NICU) The group is basically for inspiration!
I have created a link that you can click on to browse any prayer and item requets we receive. If you see a request you would like to volunteer for, comment on that request and I will send you the email address for the requestee so you can talk to them about any details you would like.
